UNAF Champions Cup
The UNAF Champions Cup , also North African Cup of Champions ( French : Coupe nord-africaine des clubs champions ), is a football club competition in North Africa that has been played for three years since the 2008 season and is sponsored by the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF) , a sub-organization of the CAF . The respective champions from Algeria , Morocco , Tunisia and Libya were entitled to participate . The champion of Egypt would also have been eligible to start, but did not take part. The game was played from the semi-finals in a pure knockout system with a return leg. This competition is often referred to as the successor to the Maghreb Champions Cup .
