At the XXI. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , three bobsleigh competitions were held. The venue was the Whistler Sliding Center , about 14 km west of Whistler and 125 km north of Vancouver at an altitude of 785 to 935 meters.

Switzerland 2 fell in training. Pilot Beat Hefti suffered a concussion and was unable to take part in the race. The Swiss substitute team with Daniel Schmid and Jürg Egger could not start either because Schmid had to forego participation in the two-man and four-man bobsleigh for health reasons.
