Games

In the preliminary round, after a win against Colombia and a draw against Nigeria in the last game against Kuwait, it was all about first place in the group, which Czechoslovakia secured with a draw due to the better goal difference. In the quarterfinals they defeated Cuba, which was followed by another victory against Yugoslavia in the semifinals. In the final they prevailed against defending champion GDR, which brought Czechoslovakia the gold medal.
