The 1987 Baltic Cup was the 15th edition of the international handball tournament for national teams.

The Soviet Union won the title for the sixth time. The GDR took second place ahead of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Mode and game plan

In this event, six teams played in the " everyone against everyone " mode .

The tournament started on January 21st. On the first four days of the tournament, two games were played in Rostock and one in Wismar . The 5th matchday on January 25th was played entirely in Rostock.

Evaluation criteria

  1. higher number of points;
  2. better goal difference;
  3. higher number of goals scored;
  4. the lot.
