Peter Reusse
Peter Reusse (born February 15, 1941 in Teltow ) is a German actor , voice actor and writer .
life and work
After graduating from high school in Kleinmachnow , Peter Reusse began studying at the Babelsberg Film School in 1959 , which he graduated in 1963. He then worked as a freelance actor until 1970. In 1970 he got a permanent position at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.
Reusse was often cast in youth roles both on stage and in film: In the youth film Die aus der 12b (1962) or the anti-war film Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt (1964) he gave pupils, in the television film, which was forbidden for a short time, monologue for one Taxi driver (1962) an expectant father. Also in his first major leading role, that of Peter Naumann in the film drama Just don't think I'm crying (1965), he played a student. This film was banned due to its critical stance and was not shown widely until 1990.
On television he was seen in Polizeiruf 110 , Fiete Stein (1970) and Homecoming in a Foreign Land (1976), among others. In 1977 he played a leading role in the comedy A crazy scent of fresh hay , which became one of the most successful films of the GDR cinema year 1977. Since the 1980s he was almost only seen in television productions. One of his most important works here was the mini family series Kiezgeschichten (1987).
In 1987 Reusse was awarded the Goethe Prize of the City of Berlin . In retrospect, the taz called him the " James Dean of the East".
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Reusse stopped acting and instead devoted himself to painting, sculpture and literature. In 1996 he was awarded a special prize in the undoped writing competition Zeitzeugenpreis Berlin-Brandenburg for his story Gaskopp out of competition .
Peter Reusse has lived with his wife, the actress Sigrid Göhler , in Kolberg in Brandenburg since 2007 . The couple has a daughter Bettina Reusse and a son Sebastian Reusse , who is also an actor.
