The parish village of Pulling is an officially named part of the municipality of Freising in Upper Bavaria with around 1,500 inhabitants. Its name goes back to a freeman named Pullo, first mentioned in Freising documents in 1024 . The Pullinger coat of arms shows a blue ploughshare on a golden background.
geography
Pulling is located in the Munich gravel plain southwest of Freising at 450 m above sea level. NN. in the Freisinger Moos . Parts of the former municipal area were only transformed from bog areas into fertile land with the Moosach regulation in the years 1918–1920 . The Isar flows about two kilometers to the east .
history
The village goes back to individual farms, as they have been preserved in Eggertshofen to this day . In 1818 the municipality of Pulling was founded, which also included Achering , Dürneck and Eggertshofen. An important growth spurt resulted from the establishment of the Pulling stop on the Munich – Regensburg railway line on January 1, 1886. The electrification of the line in 1926 made it possible to travel to Munich in just 45 minutes . In 1972 Pulling was connected to the newly created Munich S-Bahn network .
Two floods by the Isar in 1899 and 1910 caused severe damage to the village. The danger was averted when the flood dam was built in 1911. The first telephone station was set up in 1913. In 1925 Pulling got electric light. After a typhus case in 1955 and the subsequent government ban in 1956, a water pipe was built and completed in 1960.
From the previous branch of the parish St. Georg in Freising, the parish St. Ulrich in Pulling emerged in 1966. On July 11, 1965, the St. Ulrich Church in Pulling was consecrated and in autumn 1992 it was equipped with an organ. The schoolhouse, which was first built in 1869, was replaced by new buildings in 1898 and finally in 1960. Today around 60 children from Pulling, Achering and Dürneck are taught there. In 2002, the Pulling-Freising special needs school center was opened in Pulling on the outskirts.
The voluntary fire brigade Pulling was founded on May 15, 1877, after a "Fire Code" was drawn up on April 13, 1856 in Pulling. The fire station built in 1879 in the center of the village was replaced in 1962 by a new building next to the primary school. On May 1, 1978, Pulling was incorporated into the city of Freising as part of the municipal reform.
traffic
Pulling is easily accessible from the nearby state road 2350 (former federal road 11 ) and is connected to the trunk road network via the Freising-Süd junction of the A92 .
In terms of rail traffic, the place is connected to the category 5 stop of the same name , which is served by the MVV S1 S-Bahn line every 20 to 40 minutes. As part of the four-track expansion in connection with the Erdinger Ringschluss , the Pulling stop is also to be rebuilt. The current outer platforms are to be replaced by a new island platform. The time of implementation cannot yet be foreseen.
Pulling is massively affected by the aircraft noise at Munich Airport , as the southern district is directly in the entry / departure lane of the current northern runway, which is only 4.7 km away. Pulling is currently the most severely affected town in the entire airport area and has a continuous noise level of 60 dB . If the third runway is to be implemented in the north of the two existing runways as planned, the new flight path will lead over the northern part of the village and thus increase the continuous noise level in the entire settlement area to over 65 dB according to the airport operator's report.
economy
Pulling is home to a number of smaller businesses, including three restaurants, a takeout and two beverage markets. Due to the closure of the grocery store at the end of the 80s and the post office and the two bank branches in the 90s, the residents are dependent on opportunities in Freising.
leisure
Several quarry ponds were created through gravel extraction. The Pullinger Weiher are located between Pulling and Achering . Two of the quarry ponds were taken over by the recreation area association and converted into bathing lakes.
