Roßbach is a municipality in the Rottal-Inn district in Lower Bavaria .
geography
Geographical location
Roßbach is located in the northern part of the Rottal-Inn district near the confluence of the Kollbach in the Vilslanal next to the Vils . Roßbach is located about 21 km west of Vilshofen , 15 km south of Osterhofen , 25 km southeast of Landau and 24 km north of the district town of Pfarrkirchen .

history
Until the church is planted
Roßbach belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and to the Parish Churches Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The Counts of Toerring seem to have had lower court rights here over single-layer subjects (open court marches ). In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent communities Schmiedorf and Untergrafendorf were incorporated. Münchsdorf was added on May 1, 1978.

Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 2,770 to 2,944 by 174 inhabitants or 6.3%.

Economy including agriculture and forestry
According to official statistics, there were ten employees at the place of work in the field of agriculture and forestry, 251 in the manufacturing sector and 54 in the trade and transport sector. In other economic sectors 42 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 1028 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were two companies in the manufacturing sector and five in the construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were 174 agricultural holdings with an agriculturally used area of 2876 ha, of which 2311 ha were arable land and 561 ha were permanent green space.
