Rodino ( Russian Родино ) is a large village and administrative center of the raion of the same name in the west of the Russian Altai region with 8597 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
The village in the Kulunda steppe is about 80 kilometers from the border with Kazakhstan and can be reached via the Pavlodar - Kulunda - Aleisk - Barnaul highway . It is about 160 meters above sea level.
In the Rodino area, wheat is grown on black earth soils, which are exposed to severe soil erosion, especially in May. The Kulunda Magistral Canal ends here .
