Kossicha ( Russian Косиха ) is a village (selo) in the Altai region ( Russia ) with 5229 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is well 50 km straight line east of the regional administration center Barnaul in the area of Biysk - Chumysh River -Höhenzuges (Bijsko-Tschumyschskaja woswyschennost) on the river Lossicha , the approximately opposite Barnaul in Whether opens.
Kossicha is the administrative center of the Rajons Kossichinski and seat of the rural community Kossichinski selsowet, one of the next to the village Kossicha still the village Pustyn.

The village was founded in 1751 and has been the center of a Rajon since 1924.

There is a road connection to the M52 Tschuiski trakt trunk road , which passes around 15 km to the southwest and connects Novosibirsk past Barnaul and Gorno-Altaisk with the Mongolian border at Taschanta . In the area of the road that follows railway Novoaltaysk (Altaiskaja) Bijsk with the breakpoint - Kossicha and the nearest train stations Bajunowo and Nalobicha.
