Bajewo ( Russian Ба́ево ) is a village (selo) in the Altai region ( Russia ) with 4707 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 200 km as the crow flies west of the regional administration center Barnaul in the Kulunda steppe on the right bank of the Kulunda . The Kulunda Magistral Canal runs 7 km south of Bajewo .
Bajewo is the administrative seat of the Bajewski Rajons and the seat and only locality of the rural municipality Bajewski selsowet .

The village was founded in 1756. Since 1924, Bajewo has been the center of a Rajon.

Bayewo is on the Kamen am Ob - Sawjalowo - Romanowo road . This is a good 30 km south to the Malinowski settlement with the nearest railway station Giljowka at 135 km of the Kulunda - Barnaul line, which was opened in 1953 . To the east, a road leads to the neighboring Rajon center Tjumenzewo and on to the regional road R380 Barnaul - Kamen am Ob.
