Schelabolicha ( Russian Шелабо́лиха ) is a village (selo) in the Altai region ( Russia ) with 4006 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 80 km as the crow flies west of the regional administration center of Barnaul on the left, high bank of the Ob at the confluence of its small left tributary Schelabolicha.
Schelabolicha is the administrative center of the Rajons Schelabolichinski and seat and only town in the rural community selsowet Schelabolichinski .
history
The village was founded in 1750 and was the first center of a Rajon in 1944. The Rajon was dissolved in 1963, but restored in 1985 from parts of the neighboring Pavlovsky and Tyumenzewski districts .

Schelabolicha is on the regional road R380, which follows the left bank of the Ob from Barnaul via Kamen am Ob to Novosibirsk .
