The expired Gleiritsch Castle was located in the Upper Palatinate municipality of Gleiritsch in the Schwandorf district of Bavaria . The description of the location was given in 1906: "The last castle stood south of the Maria Magdalena church ."

history

In 1427, “Hans Hachenperger zu Glawracz” and his wife Anna and their two sons sold their “Syz Glawracz with all its accessories” to “Rendger Wartberger”, “Caspar den Zenger”, “Ulrich den Zenger ”, “Albrecht den Muracher ” and “ Hans the Losinger ”. It was not until 1518 Gleiritsch was re-named as noble basic rule of "Wilhalm Slamerstorffer" of there as Country aces was added to the 1526th He was followed by his son-in-law Wilhelm Gleissenthaler. From this Gleiritsch passed to Christoph Jacob von Plassenberg , who was married to the daughter Margaretha of Wilhelm von Gleissenthal. The other Plassenberger Hofmark owners until 1647 were Hans Lorenz, Hans Chrish and Hans Melchior von Plassenberg.

In the course of the Counter Reformation , the Calvinist Hans Melchior von Plassenberg was urged to convert to Catholicism, otherwise he would have to emigrate immediately and sell his estate. Together with Wolf von Pertolzhofen and Sigmund Portner, he applied for a reflection period until May 1628. Hans Melchior ultimately stuck to his faith and chose to emigrate with all its negative financial consequences and in 1629 went to the Margraviate of Bayreuth on his Gut Eckersdorf estate . As Hans Melchior continued to access Gleiritsch's income and appropriated it against the will of the sovereign caretaker of Nabburg , Sigmund von Khönigsfeld, a profound dispute ensued in which the property, which had already been damaged by the Thirty Years' War, was completely ruined.

In 1647 it came to Hans Sigmund Portner, husband of the daughter of Margaretha des Plassenberger. Heinrich Sigmund Portner, born in 1628 and a grandson of Plassenberg, was imitated in 1651 in the estate that had fallen to him. But because of his faith, he too could not stay longer in Gleiritsch and emigrated to Hersbruck on September 7, 1660 ; his requests to stay in Gleiritsch were always granted. Nevertheless, there was a dispute with the Nabburg nurse over religious affiliation. Finally in 1669 the estate came to Ludwig Lamminger von Albenreuth and his brother Hans Ludwig Lamminger von Kolmberg, who had actually been appointed by the Plassenberger as heirs. They were immediately imitated on Gleiritsch. Both Lamminger ceded all rights to the Rittmeister Hieronymus Daniel Lamminger, son of Ludwig Lamminger, who was then able to resign from his duties on Gleiritsch in May 1669. He headed the Hofmark until 1683. Then the allodial property should have passed to Johann Georg Erdmann von Prandt. Since he was not Catholic either, it was indicated to him that he was illegally staying in Gleiritsch and that he should leave the country.

In 1688, Johann Friedrich Freiherr von Kreuth finally acquired the aristocratic estate. Since this purchase contract was drawn up by a Johann Melchior von Plassenberg, it can be assumed that Gleiritsch has since reverted to the Plassenbergs. Also included was the Hebenhof, which represented a “Separate Allodial Good” that had come to the Count's family on the Gantweg . In 1845 Benedikt Zehentmeier (1844–1850, teacher in Gleiritsch) wrote: “... Plassenberg Castle was demolished, and in Gleiritsch itself a stately little mansion was built, which, entirely in keeping with the design of the time, is nowadays made up of two families inhabited. "

Gleiritsch stayed with this family until the lordly jurisdiction was dissolved in 1848.
