The ring wall Pfreimd is an abandoned early medieval hilltop castle , which is located 2200 m east-southeast of the Upper Palatinate town of Pfreimd in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .
description
The ring wall lies on the Mühlberg, an edge height above the Naab valley . The high summit drops steeply to the northeast and a little flatter on the other sides. The mountain top has a diameter of about 40 m, it is enclosed in a semicircle 2.5 m below the summit by a stone earth wall, both ends of which connect to the steep drop. A culture layer could not be found, the rock that has grown underneath the humus stands. During a test excavation in 1905, atypical prehistoric fragments were found.
The location can not be entered as it today within the site training area is located.
