See, the Guardian Israel ( BWV Appendix 15) is a lost cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach , which he composed in Leipzig and probably performed in 1724 on the occasion of an uncertain event. The librettist is unknown and the music is lost (but the cast is known). It is known that the first sentence comes from the Book of Psalms ( Psalms 121, 4 EU ). The authenticity of the work has not been proven with certainty.
