Town 'n' Country is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County in the US state of Florida with 78,442 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Town 'n' Country borders Tampa to the southeast . The CDP is crossed by Florida State Roads 580 and 589 ( Veterans Expressway , toll). Part of Tampa International Airport is in the Town 'n' Country area.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 78,442 inhabitants were distributed over 33,838 households. The population density was 1279.6 inh / km². 76.0% of the population identified themselves as whites, 9.7% as African-Americans , 0.4% as Indians and 4.1% as Asian Americans . 6.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.7% to several ethnic groups. 43.8% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 33.5% of all households and people aged 65 and over in 22.1% of all households. 64.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.57 people and the average family size was 3.10 people.

24.8% of the population were younger than 20 years, 29.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 28.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 16.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 37 years. 48.7% of the population were male and 51.3% were female.

The median annual income was $ 47,731, with 13.8% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 68.13% of the population, 26.82% spoke Spanish and 5.05% had another mother tongue.
