Westchase is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County in the US state of Florida with 21,747 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 21,747 inhabitants were distributed over 9,075 households. The population density was 782.3 inh / km². 82.5% of the population identified themselves as whites, 5.3% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 6.6% as Asian Americans . 2.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.0% to several ethnic groups. 15.5% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 16.8% of all households lived in 40.9% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 68.1% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.55 people and the average family size was 3.10 people.

29.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 27.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 30.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 13.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 37 years. 47.8% of the population were male and 52.2% were female.
