University is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County in the US state of Florida with 41,163 inhabitants (as of 2010).

University is directly adjacent to Tampa to the south and east . Interstate 275 , US Highway 41 and Florida State Road 582 cross or touch the CDP .
