history

The first documentary mention of the village Sichdichfür , which originally belonged to the Tachau rulership, dates from 1587. The place is probably much older, but all documents about it were lost when the Tachau castle burned. From 1606, Hans Bartl Schirnding Groß und Klein Sichdichfür acquired from Emperor Rudolf II. Ferdinand I pledged the Schirndinger property, which had been confiscated after the Battle of the White Mountain, in 1623 to the brothers Johann Reinhard and Wilhelm Metternich. In 1651, 217 people lived in both Sichdichfürs.

From the middle of the 19th century Großsichdich for a community in the judicial district of Bad Königswart was formed . Until 1870, Groß Siehdichfür was also called Unter Siehdichfür (Dolejší Hleďsebe). This designation comes from the establishment of the official place name in 1854. In 1916 the change from Siehdichfür to Sichdichfür took place .

Until 1906 the village had no church and was parish to the St. Vitus Church in Neudorf . The construction of the neo-Romanesque St. Anne's Church began in 1901; It was completed and consecrated ten years later. In 1906 the cemetery was built with a chapel. In 1930 the village had 1640 inhabitants.

After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Marienbad district until 1945 .

Since 1984 the municipality has also been connected to the neighboring spa town by the Marienbad trolleybus (line 6).

The melt pond is now used as the Riviera outdoor pool .
