Trstěnice (German Neudorf b. Plan , also Neudorf II ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers east of the city center of Marienbad and belongs to the Okres Cheb .

Geographical location

Trstěnice is located in the northeast of the Upper Palatinate Forest near the transition to the Kaiserwald . State road 21 between Cheb and Planá runs through the village . To the west rises the Kraví hora ( Kühberg , 652 m), in the south of the Dlouhý vrch ( Langenberg , 563 m).

South of the village lies the Růženec ( Rosary Forest ), east of the Mnišský les ( Münchwald ). Be located on the municipal corridors three larger ponds: the Zaječí rybník ( Bauer pond , 11 ha), the senny rybník ( Haiteich , 13 ha) and the Kravsky rybník ( travel pond , 14 ha).

The municipality Trstěnice consists of the districts Horní Ves ( Oberdorf ) and Trstěnice ( Neudorf ). The basic settlement units are Horní Ves, Skelné Hutě ( glassworks ) and Trstěnice.

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts Horní Ves, Skelné Hutě and Trstěnice.

history

It is believed that the place was founded around 1100. According to old news, the little church of St. Veit was consecrated in 1200. The first mention of the place took place in 1367. For district the since 1384 detectable in the papal directories parish church of St. Vitus, the patronage of the pin Tepl shelter, were later the surrounding villages three hoes , Drmoul , glassworks ( Skelne Hutě ), United Sichdichfür , Herrnberg ( Panský Vrch ), Klein Sichdichfür ( Malá Hleďsebe ), Klemensdorf ( Klimentov ), Oberdorf ( Horní Ves ) and Tachauer Schmelzthal ( Tachovská Huť ). Since the beginning of the 15th century Neudorf belonged to the rule Kuttenplan .

In the area around Neudorf, intensive mining has been practiced since the discovery of the rich ore deposits on the Dreihackener Joch in the 16th century. The St. Viti colliery was located northeast of the village. The location on the old Kaiserstraße led, especially in the Middle Ages, to several looting and destruction by the war people passing through. In the 16th century the place became Protestant, in the course of the re-catholicization in 1624 a Catholic pastor was appointed. In 1742 French troops marched through the village. In 1774, Count Sigmund von Haimhausen had a new church built. In 1788 Neudorf consisted of 69 houses.

Johann Gottfried Sommer called the place in 1838 in his topographical-statistical description of the Kingdom of Bohemia as Neudorf alias Třesenice . After the replacement of patrimonial Neudorf / Nová Ves formed a municipality in the political district of Plan from 1850 . In 1884 513 people lived in Neudorf. In 1895 the community had 500 inhabitants who lived in 84 houses. In 1921 the Czech name was changed to Trstěnice , which had already been used in the Middle Ages parallel to Neudorf. In 1930 there were 488 people in Neudorf, compared to 443 in 1939.

After the Munich Agreement , the village was incorporated into the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the district of Plan until 1939 and, after its dissolution, to the district of Tachau until 1945 . After the war, Trstěnice came back to Czechoslovakia; the German residents were expelled. Czechs who returned from German forced labor and others from the Strakonice area were resettled .

In 1945 the Okres Planá was rebuilt. After its dissolution, the community came to Okres Mariánské Lázně in 1949, which existed until 1960. Since 1961 Horní Ves has belonged to Trstěnice as a district, at the same time the municipality came to Okres Cheb . In 1984 Trstěnice had 284 inhabitants.

  • Baroque St. Vitus Church, built between 1774 and 1777 instead of a previous medieval building
  • Jagdschlösschen Berchembogen; the neo-Gothic building in the rosary forest southeast of the village was built in 1877 by Hans Ernst Berchem-Haimhausen on a cowl plan.
