Vera Kluth

Vera Margot Ursula Kluth (born April 11, 1925 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ) is a German actress , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Vera Kluth was born as the daughter of the architect Paul Kluth and his wife Alwine (née Stünckel). At the age of 5 she took dance lessons from Harald Kreutzberg . She completed an apprenticeship at the State Drama School in Berlin under Maria Koppenhöfer and passed the aptitude test of the Reich Theater Chamber in July 1944 in the art genre drama. In 1947 she made her stage debut in Annaberg-Buchholz . Further theater engagements took her to Magdeburg, Dessau, Leipzig and Berlin. There she first played with the Berliner Ensemble . From 1959 she was part of the Vaganten stage ensemble in the west of the city . Occasionally she took over the direction of the theater herself, for example in the production of Sartre's Closed Society , with which she performed with the Vaganten on smaller stages in West Germany.

With the role of La Pontia in Bernado Alba's house at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern , Kluth left the stage in 1979.

Vera Kluth played in film and television productions such as in Carlo Rola's thriller Der stille Herr Genardy , the Didi-Hallervorden comedy Mein Gott, Willi! , Bastian Terhorst's short film Das Freudenhaus and took on guest roles in television series such as Tatort , Liebling Kreuzberg , Alles was Recht ist und Drei Damen vom Grill .

She also worked extensively as a speaker for radio plays and film dubbing .

Vera Kluth is not identical to the painter and graphic artist of the same name (* 1934).
