Verduno Pelaverga

Verduno Pelaverga or simply Verduno is an Italian red wine from the town of Verduno in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont , since 1995 a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di Origine Controllata - owns, which was last updated on March 7, 2014 DOC).

Cultivation

The vineyards are located in the municipality of Verduno and in parts of the municipalities of Roddi d'Alba and La Morra . The cultivation area is very small (<20 hectares).

generation

The wine is almost varietal - at least 85% of it must be made from the Pelaverga piccolo grape variety . A maximum of 15% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Piedmont region may be added.
