Freisa di Chieri

Freisa di Chieri is an Italian dry red wine from the province of Asti and the metropolitan city of Turin , Piedmont . The designation of origin has had the status of DOC since September 20, 1973 . The vineyards are spread over 12 municipalities: Andezeno , Arignano , Baldissero Torinese , Chieri , Marentino , Mombello di Torino , Montaldo Torinese , Moriondo Torinese , Pecetto Torinese , Pino Torinese , Pavarolo and Riva presso Chieri . The maximum yield per hectare is 56 hl / ha. The varietal wine is 100% from the grape Moscato grapes. The Freisa di Chieri matures for about 6 months at the winemaker's before it is marketed. The wine can be stored at the buyer for another 2 years.

There are also sparkling wines of the directions Frizzante and Spumante grown.
