Nebbiolo d'Alba
Nebbiolo d'Alba is a wine from the northern Italian region of Piedmont . He is segregated from the grape Nebbiolo as red wine , sparkling wine or Spumante- rosé expanded. Since May 25, 1970 it has a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC), which was last updated on March 7, 2014.
Cultivation
The cultivation area includes 32 communities around the Italian city of Alba in the province of Cuneo . Although the conditions (cultivation area and grape variety) are very similar to those of Barolo or Barbaresco - seven of the 32 municipalities partly belong to the DOCG Barolo - wines that are less intense and ready to drink earlier are produced.
The approved vineyards are distributed among the municipalities of Canale , Castellinaldo , Corneliano d'Alba , Monticello d'Alba , Piobesi d'Alba , Priocca , Santa Vittoria d'Alba , Vezza d'Alba , Sinio and Govone as well as parts of the municipalities of Alba , Bra , Baldissero d'Alba , Castagnito , Diano d'Alba , Grinzane Cavour , Guarene , La Morra , Magliano Alfieri , Monchiero , Monforte d'Alba , Montà , Montaldo Roero , Montelupo Albese , Monteu Roero , Novello , Pocapaglia , Roddi , Roddino , Santo Stefano Roero , Sommariva Perno and Verduno .
