Colli Tortonesi is an Italian wine-growing region in the province of Alessandria , Piedmont with a DOC appellation for red , white and rosé wines (including sparkling wines ) that was updated on March 7, 2014.

Cultivation

The Colli Tortonesi wine-growing region is located in Piemonte "Il Monferrato" and includes the 29 communities Avolasca , Berzano di Tortona , Brignano-Frascata , Carbonara Scrivia , Carezzano , Casalnoceto , Casasco , Cassano Spinola , Castellania , Castellar Guidobono , Cerreto Grue , Costa Vescovato , Momperone , Monleale , Montegioco , Montemarzino , Paderna , Pozzol Groppo , Sant'Agata Fossili , Sardigliano , Sarezzano , Spineto Scrivia , Stazzano , Tortona , Viguzzolo , Villaromagnano , Villalvernia , Volpedo and Volpeglino between the Monferrato and the Oltrepò Pavese .

The vineyards are on the hills west of the Scrivia River , and the town of Tortona gives the area its name. In 2016, 15,492 hectoliters of DOC wine were produced from 215 hectares of approved vineyards .
