Pinerolese DOC is the name for red and rosé wines from the Italian region of Piedmont . The controlled designation of origin DOC was first awarded in 1996; it was last updated on March 7, 2014.
Growing area
Cultivation is permitted in the following municipalities:
- In the province of Turin : Angrogna , Bibiana , Bobbio Pellice , Bricherasio , Buriasco , Campiglione-Fenile , Cantalupa , Cavour , Cumiana , Frossasco , Garzigliana , Inverso Pinasca , Luserna San Giovanni , Lusernetta , Macello , Osasco , Pinasca , Pinerolo , Perosa Argentina , Pomaretto , Porte , Perrero , Pramollo , Prarostino , Roletto , Rorà , San Germano Chisone , San Pietro Val Lemina , San Secondo di Pinerolo , Torre Pellice , Villar Pellice and Villar Perosa
- In the province of Cuneo : Bagnolo , Barge .

Wine types:
- Pinerolese rosso or Pinerolese rosato wines are made from 50… 100% of the grape varieties Barbera , Bonarda , Nebbiolo and / or Chatus (each individually or together). A maximum of 50% other red grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in Piedmont may be added.
- Pinerolese… with the addition of one of the following grape varieties: Barbera, Bonarda, Freisa, Dolcetto, Doux d'Henry always consist of at least 85% of the respective grape variety and a maximum of 15% red grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in Piedmont.
- Pinerolese Ramie is made from the grape varieties Avanà Avarengo , Chatus , Becuet (together at least 60%) and a maximum of 40% red grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in Piedmont.
