"There is more and more wine growing in the middle of the Spitz,

As d'Reben lend to the fattest parishes.

This proud confession is said to have been written down on the house of the richest winegrower until 1805 when the French who entered the country took this boast to heart, and now nobody dares to boast of their stocks with strangers or locals. "

In 1947, the film " The Hofrat Geiger " with Paul Hörbiger and Hans Moser was shot in Spitz, among others.
