The WIB swing was a television show that was hosted by Wigald Boning from 2001 to 2004 . In it, celebrities were accompanied for a day - mostly in their respective hometowns. With a great deal of wit and intelligence, Boning knew how to elicit surprising information from celebrities.

The program initially ran as part of Suntv , which was broadcast on many of the Kirch Group's regional channels . After the collapse of KirchMedia , ZDF bought the rights to the format and began broadcasting old and new episodes in September 2002 . The title of the show was based on that of the ZDF celebrity show VIP-Schaukel (with Margret Dünser ) from the 1970s.

The show's title track was "It's Oh So Quiet" by the singer Björk .
