Weimar speeches
The Weimar Speeches are a series of lectures that has been held annually at the German National Theater in Weimar since 1994 . The series of events is a cooperation project between the City of Weimar and the German National Theater Weimar. On four Sundays - usually in March every year - it presents speakers from the fields of culture, politics, science and journalism on fundamental social issues of our time. While the speakers were presented by a previous speaker from 1994 to 2013, the events have been moderated by the journalist Liane von Billerbeck since 2014 .
From 1994 to 2002 the Weimar speeches were financed by various sponsors. The media partners are the Thüringische Landeszeitung (TLZ) and MDR 1 Radio Thuringia .
