Wielsbeke is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 9,093 inhabitants. In addition to the eponymous place, the two districts of Ooigem and Sint-Baafs-Vijve also belong to the municipality. The place is on the Leie , 12 kilometers (km) northeast of Kortrijk , 17 km southeast of Roeselare , 28 km southwest of Ghent , 34 km south-southeast of Bruges and approx. 70 km west of Brussels . The next motorway exits are at Waregem in the east on the A14 / E17 and at Roeselare in the west on the A17 . The nearest regional train stations are in Waregem, Izegem and Kortrijk , and national express trains also stop in Ghent. The nearest international airport is located near the capital Brussels.
