Ichtegem is a Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 14,050 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It consists of the three districts Ichtegem (with 5,763 inhabitants (E)), Eernegem (with 6,587 E) and Bekegem (with 1,073 E).

location

Torhout is 7 kilometers south-east, the Ostend ferry port on the English Channel 16 km north-west, Bruges 18 km north-east, Ghent 50 km east and Brussels about 98 km south-east (all information as the crow flies from the district of Ichtegem to the respective city centers).

The next motorway exits are at Gistel on the A18 / E 40 in the west, Jabbeke and Bruges on the A10 in the north and Ruddervoorde and Lichtervelde on the A17 in the east.
In Zedelgem , Torhout and Kortemark are the next regional stations and in Ostend and Bruges keep on regional express trains.
