The World Cup of Darts 2016 was a major tournament of the Professional Darts Corporation and was played from June 2nd to 5th in the Frankfurt ice rink . It took place for the sixth time this year. The England players Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis were able to prevail 3-2 in the final against the Dutch Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen and thus defend the title they won against Scotland last year .

Participating Nations

As in the previous year, the venue for the World Cup: the ice rink in Frankfurt am Main.

At the World Cup of Darts there is a team of two players per nation. The two best placed players of the PDC Order of Merit of a nation always play .
