history
Šetějovice was built in the original dense forest parish of Queen Swatawa , in the course of its settlement by the Vyšehrad collegiate chapter . The first mention of the place took place in 1352 in a certificate of ownership of Charles IV. After the destruction of Vyšehrad by the Hussites , Nikolaus Trčka of Lípa received the parish as a gift in 1436.
The village passed through various owners to Johann Leopold Donatus von Trautson and Falkenstein, who at the end of the 17th century acquired the entire lordship of Unterkralowitz . He was followed in 1766 by Karl Josef von Palm-Gundelfingen and, from 1844, by Prince Wilhelm Vincenz von Auersperg . After the replacement of the patrimonial Šetějovice achieved independence in 1848.
The school building was built in 1894. In 1945 the goods of the Princes Auersperg were confiscated. The school now serves as a community office and local cultural center. From 1974 the Želivka valley was flooded by the Švihov dam ; at the same time the place Žibřidovice was dissolved and flooded. The name Žibřidovice was transferred to the farmsteads located at the Nechyba junction and in 2002 a memorial chapel for the sunken village was built there.
