2nd Bundesliga basketball league 1989/90

The 1989/1990 season was the fifteenth season of the 2nd Bundesliga .

mode

It was played in two groups, north and south, each with twelve teams. After a single round, the first four teams of a season played a two-pronged promotion round, the winners of which rose to the basketball league. The teams from places 5-8 of a season played a placement round in two rounds with a return leg. The remaining four teams played a relegation round in their relays. Due to the assigned regional leagues, two teams descended from the northern relay and three teams from the southern relay. Both in the promotion and relegation round, all points from the main round were taken.
