The 1944/45 season was the ninth regular season of the American Hockey League (AHL). During the regular season, the seven teams in the league played 60 games each. The four best teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round for the Calder Cup .

- The St. Louis Flyers from the disbanded American Hockey Association were added to the league as an expansion team
