Anzenbach has been part of the Berchtesgaden market in the Berchtesgadener Land district in Upper Bavaria since January 1, 1972 .

history

Presumably from the end of the 14th century, Anzenbach was the 1st Gnotschaft district of the "Ur gnotschaft " Berg in the Berchtesgadener Land , which from 1380 formed the heartland of the Reich Prelature Berchtesgaden and the later independent, imperial provostory Berchtesgaden (1559-1803). After three quick succession following rule changes in 1810 that were Berchtesgaden with its Gnotschaften the Kingdom of Bavaria affiliated and mountain from 1812 to community Salzberg . From 1817 to 1818 Anzenbach came to the municipality of Gern for one year , and then again until December 31, 1971, to be part of the municipality of Salzberg. Only in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria did the municipality of Salzberg lose its independence on January 1, 1972 and has since been part of the Berchtesgaden market along with its districts and gnotships, including Anzenbach.

Prince Provost Jakob Pütrich (1567–1594) had the Meierhöfe Dietfeld and Rosenhof built in Anzenbach ; the latter was initially a pancake house . In 1574 he had the small summer palace Etzerschlössl built around 430 meters north of the Rosenhof and equipped with precious stone pine paneling and artistic stoves. With its ten rooms, the Etzerschlössl was also temporarily open to citizens as a place of refuge when there was a risk of epidemics; it later passed to different owners. It was last used as a children's home until it was demolished in 1960. The Etzermühle , which is part of the ensemble and also demolished because of its dilapidation , is located at the outlet of the Gerer Bach, and was one of the “most old-romantic buildings in the country”. The newer settlement Am Etzerschlössl , founded north of Anzenbach, is now also a district of the Berchtesgaden market, but is no longer in the Salzberg district like Anzenbach, but in the Maria Gern district.
