Borek is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers north of Stará Boleslav and belongs to the Okres Praha-východ .

geography

Borek is located on the right side of the Elbe on a thrown meander. The Borecký svod ditch runs south of the village, behind which the pond landscape, a recultivated sand pit, a golf course and a sports airfield adjoin. To the southeast is the Stará Boleslav barracks. The forest area of ​​the Spalený les extends to the east, through which the railway runs from Lysá nad Labem to Mělník .

Neighboring towns are Dřísy and Lhota in the north, Hlavenec in the north-east, Skorkov and Podbrahy in the east, Stará Boleslav in the south-east, Spořilov and Brandýs nad Labem in the south, Martínov in the south-west, Záryby in the west and Křenek in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village of Oujezd , which belongs to the Altbunzlauer Kapitel, took place in 1339. The last mention of this village, which was extinguished in the Thirty Years' War, comes from the year 1622.

Borek was founded in 1777 during the Theresian soil reforms ( Raabisation ) as an empyteuse according to the Raab system in the corridors of the desert village of Oujezd. The settlement consisting of twelve wooden chalets was attached to Křenek in 1785 . On September 18, 1871, the village burned to the ground.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Malý Borek 1850 a municipality in the district of Karlin and from 1906 in the district of Brandýs nad Labem. From 1961 Borek belonged to Okres Mělník and since 2007 to okres Praha-východ .
