The Kranzberg Castle (also Veste Kransberg , formerly also Cranchs- or Cranichsberg ) is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 441.6  m above sea level. NN on the Kranzberg near the community Sulzbach-Laufen in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg .

A west loop of the Kocher lies around the Kranzberg in the valley , further east it is separated from the Limpurger Mountains by a 40 meter lower natural saddle .

The castle was built by the Counts of Öttingen in the first half of the 13th century and was first mentioned in 1212. In the middle of the 15th century the castle was destroyed in the city war.
