Dăbâca or Dăbîca ( German  (old) Dobeschdorf , Hungarian Doboka ) is a municipality in the Cluj district in Transylvania , Romania .

Dăbâca is also known by the Romanian outdated names Doboca , Dobocel and Dăbica .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1164 as the seat of a county. This was later combined with another county to form Szolnok-Doboka County .
