Recea-Cristur (outdated Rece-Crestur ; Hungarian Récekeresztúr or Hidegkeresztúr ) is a municipality in Cluj County in Transylvania , Romania . It is located in the Somesch highlands in northwestern Transylvania and consists of a total of nine villages.

In 1992, 1812 inhabitants were registered in the municipality. 1669 of them were Romanians , 138 were Roma and five were Magyars .
history
The place Recea-Cristur was first mentioned in 1320 and was originally inhabited by Hungarians. By 1700 Romanians must have come to the fore numerically; in 1706 the Hungarian Reformed Church was taken over by the Romanians.
