Mintiu Gherlii ( German  German village , Hungarian Szamosújvárnémeti ) is a municipality in the Cluj district in Transylvania , Romania .

The place is also known by the Romanian outdated names Mintiul Gherlei and Nimtiu Gherlii of the Hungarian Németi and the German name Deutsch-Neudorf .
