The municipality of Geaca is located in the Transylvanian Basin in the east of the Cluj district. On the upper reaches of the Fizeș - a right tributary of the Someșul Mic -, on the lake of the same name and on the district road (Drum județean) DJ 109C, the community center is about 30 kilometers southeast of the city of Gherla ( New Castle ) and 50 kilometers east of the district capital Cluj.
