The 1981 DFB Women's Cup was won by SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach . In the final they beat TuS Wörrstadt 5-0. The outstanding player was Doris Kresimon, who scored three goals. In its inaugural season, the eighth, quarter and semi-finals were played in two legs. From the 1981/82 season there was only one game per round.
