The Deggenhauser Tal area is a protected area (protected area identifier DE-8222-341) in the south-east of the German state of Baden, registered by ordinance of January 1, 2005 by the Tübingen Regional Council according to Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) -Wuerttemberg . With the ordinance of the regional council of Tübingen on the definition of areas of community importance of November 5, 2018, the protected area was established.
location
The approximately 812 hectare protected area Deggenhauser Tal is naturally part of the Upper Swabian hill country . Its 16 partial areas are at a height of 472 to 814 m above sea level. NHN and extend to 99 percent in the Bodenseekreis ( Deggenhausertal , Heiligenberg , Markdorf , Salem ) and one percent in the district of Sigmaringen ( Illmensee ).
The sub-areas include the area around Deggenhausertal, from Echbeck in the northwest to Untersiggingen in the southeast.
Habitats
The variety of dry and wet habitat types with open land and forest liver areas and rocks is evidence of glacial and post-glacial landscape development. The protected area is mainly characterized by the following habitats: artificial forests (25%), deciduous forest (24%), moist and mesophilic grassland (21%) and coniferous forest (11%).
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the Deggenhauser Aach valley with side valleys, valley slopes, edge heights and a diverse mosaic of use.
