The Überlinger See and Bodenseeuferlandschaft area is a protected area (SG number DE-8220-342) in the southeast of the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg by the Tübingen regional council in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) .
location
The approximately 3,785 hectares (ha) large reserve Überlinger the Lake Constance shore landscape is one natural area to Lake basin and Hegau . Its six sub-areas are at an altitude of 389 to 687 m above sea level. NHN and extend to 93 percent (= 3,505 ha) in the Bodenseekreis ( Meersburg , Sipplingen , Überlingen , Uhldingen-Mühlhofen ) and to seven percent (= 264 ha) in the district of Konstanz ( Bodman-Ludwigshafen , Stockach ).
The sub-areas essentially comprise the north shore of the Überlinger See , part of Lake Constance , between Espasingen in the north-west and Meersburg in the south-east.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the Überlinger See with its steep bank landscape and two caves , which stretches in a striking way from the shallow water zone of the Bodensee to the heights above the lake.
Habitats
The diversity of dry and humid habitat types with still and flowing waters , rocks, ravines and springs and species in a very small space is testimony to the late and post-glacial landscape development. The protected area is mainly characterized by the following habitats: inland waterways (79%), deciduous forest (6%) and moist and mesophilic grassland (4%).
