Tournament commentary
The tournament was broadcast live by Internet TV station Kozoom . The Peruvian Christopher Ramirez could not take part and was replaced by Allesio d'Agata from Italy as a successor.
Group stage
The group stage was able to come up with two new junior records. The Spanish defending champion Carlos Anguita increased the series record set by Filipos Kasidokostas in 2002 by 1 point to 16. The Korean world champion from 2016 Cho Myung-woo set his own record from 2017 with an individual average (ED) of 4.166 and played a 5,000 in the last group game the Turks Alperen Cebeoglu 25: 3 in just 5 shots.
Finals
The advanced Italian d'Agata was able to maintain his good performance until the semi-finals, but met the Korean favorite and 2016 World Cup winner Cho Myung-woo . He was clearly defeated there with 35:12. The semi-final defeat of the Spanish defending champions Anguilla, who was the favorite in this game, was surprising. The Korean newcomer Jang Dae-hyun was able to beat him by 10 points and move into the all-Korean final. Cho was superior to him, however, won 35:18 and took his second World Championship gold.
Groups A & B
The group stage started on September 21st and ended with the last games on September 22nd at 1pm.
