Dyrøy is a municipality in Northern Norway in the province ( Fylke ) Troms og Finnmark .
It is named after the island Dyrøya , between the Solbergfjord and the Tranøyfjord in the north and the Dyrøysund in the south, which has been connected to the mainland by the Dyrøybrua (Dyrøy Bridge) since 1994 . The main town and administrative seat is Brøstabotn on the mainland at the eastern end of Dyrøysund.
