Avully is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland . The Avully-Village, Epeisses, Eaumorte and Gennecy settlements belong to the municipality.
history
In 1220 the village was mentioned as Avulie . The community belonged to the Savoy from 1402 to 1604, with an interruption by the Bernese rule from 1536 to 1567. King Henry IV donated Avully to Geneva in 1604 , but the Burgundian parliament refused. The village remained dependent until the Treaty of Paris in 1749, before it came to Geneva.
