The community-free area Eschershausen is one of seven community-free areas in the district of Holzminden , Lower Saxony . The name of the area is derived from the neighboring city of Eschershausen . The area lies entirely in the Hils low mountain range .

It has an area of ​​4.92 km² and borders clockwise in the east on the community-free area Grünenplan , in the south on the community-free area Eimen and the city of Eschershausen and in the west on the community Holzen of the same district. In the north there is a short border section to the municipality of Duingen in the Hildesheim district .

The community-free area is uninhabited. For statistical reasons, however, it has the official municipality key 03 2 55 503.
