Location of the municipality

Estavayer is the name of a merged municipality in the canton of Friborg in Switzerland that was founded on January 1, 2017. It consists of the previous political communities of Bussy , Estavayer-le-Lac , Morens , Murist , Rueyres-les-Prés , Vernay and Vuissens . The new municipality has around 9080 inhabitants, its area extends over 4043 hectares.
