Eye Group British Open 2001

The Eye Group British Open in 2001 were from 5 to 10 June 2001 in Birmingham in the UK instead. The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2000/01 and belonged to the PSA Super Series Gold category . The prize money was $ 105,000.

The defending champion was David Evans , who lost to qualifier Chris Walker in the round of 16 this year . Walker also reached the final, in which he was defeated by David Palmer in five sets after leading the set 2-0. The game ended with 12:15, 13:15, 15: 2, 15: 9 and 15: 5 for Palmer.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The 16 best players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
